About

Amy G. Merrill, Ph.D.

I created Merrill Ecological in August 2024 to help accelerate strategic restoration and on-going adaptive management of mountain meadows and associated riparian corridors. I partner with others to create robust and well-integrated teams with diverse skills and strong real world experience in meadow and river restoration design, implementation and management. With clear communication and project management, I provide technical skills in botanical surveys, vegetation mapping, wetlands and riparian assessment, restoration design, and aquatic habitat delineation.

I have over 25 years of experience working with interdisciplinary teams in riparian and meadow restoration and management across California and parts of the PNW. I bring botanical, vegetation, soils, and wetland expertise to each project. In addition, I bring an understanding of how geomorphology and river hydrology affect ecological condition and offer solutions for restoration.
